Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops, documents, tracks, and communicates test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems.
2. Performs functional testing based on client requirements documented in configuration documents.
3. Installs, maintains and uses software testing programs.
4. Conducts compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments.
5. Assists in developing & implementing quality assurance standards.
6. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics.
7. Recommends program improvements or revisions to programmers and system analysts.
8. Review websites, research reports and related documents for data display quality, functionality, spelling, grammar, and general look/feel.
9. Participate on project teams as a strong performer demonstrating consistent production on concurrent projects.
10. Work closely with software engineers and project managers on project team to understand client requirements and assist in resolving problems.
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrable number of years of commercial testing experience and an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
2. Experience in using test automation tools is a plus.
3. Must have experience with web-based application testing.
4. Detail-oriented with outstanding work ethic.
5. Strong knowledge of English composition and grammatical rules.
6. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
8. Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
9. Effective interpersonal skills
10. Knowledge of a foreign language a plus
Education and/or Training:
1. Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or demonstrable number of years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
