My client is a multinational pharmeacutical organisation with their Shared Service centre based in Chorlton, South Manchester.
They are currently recruiting for a Finnish speaking Part-Qualified accounting analyst.
The role will be to support the European shared service centre's Country Accounting Managers to ensure that the financial accounting records of those countries are accurately recorded and reported according to Group and external timelines.

Key Accountabilities

1. To review the balances of accounts which have been assigned to the job holder for completeness and accuracy of transactions

2. To reconcile the balances of accounts which have been assigned to the job holder for reconciliation

3. To create journal entries in the accounting ledgers of the Marketing Companies

4. To provide support to the Marketing Company finance department by providing analyses of movements in specified accounts

5. To respond to questions from the Country Accountant relating to transactions in the ledger of the Marketing Company

6. To run month end transaction processes, eg order settlement, automatic accruals, according to month end timetable

7. To resolve queries from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel and Expenses teams on coding of transactions

8. To review sub-ledger transactions and documents for correct tax assignments

Education and Experience Required:

Essential

· Account reconciliations
· Use of computerised accounting systems
· Solid bookkeeping experience
· Experience of month end closing processes
· Fluent in English and Finnish
· Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre

Desirable

· Experience in a busy general ledger department
· Knowledge of VAT and corporation tax accounting and returns
· A formal bookkeeping/accounting certificate
· SAP user
· Experience of working in a change environment
