Job description:

Pearl Linguistics is seeking for its Recruitment Manager.
In this important role, you will have overall responsibility for:

• Advertising for new translators
• Testing translators’ skills with specialist tests
• Selection of each language team
• Putting together a team of translators for a specific project/contract
• Creating and maintaining an extensive and organised database of qualified linguists
• Assisting Project Managers in finding the right translator for a specific translation assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional translation experience
• Extensive knowledge in translator qualifications, accreditations and specialist areas
• Extensive knowledge in the translation market in the UK including agencies, governing bodies and translator associations
• In-house editing skills
• University degree (all degrees will be considered, Linguistics preferred)
• Being able to multi task, take initiative and resolve problems quickly
• maintain an enthusiastic and friendly approach to clients and linguists even at the busiest and most stressful times
• ability to work under pressure
• Extremely fluent written and oral English
• good organization skills
• strong commitment to quality and eye to detail
• excellent IT skills - basic knowledge in excel is a must
