European Marcomm Specialist
Salary: £21K - £24K + Benefits
Location: South West London

Our client, a leading manufacturer of computer hardware products with its European headquarters in South West London, is now recruiting for a Marcomm Specialist.


POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the European Marketing department in promoting the company in the European market place.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.To take ownership for the delivery of specific marketing projects either internally or with an external agencies, such as collateral development, end-user and channel campaign generation and implementation, event planning, coordination and support,
2.To drive execution of marketing projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget agreed with Marcomm Manager
3.To ensure appropriate marketing disciplines are applied to marketing projects ensuring effectiveness, appropriateness and consistency
4.To communicate with channel marketers on local marketing projects to see whether activities can be leveraged in as many countries as possible
5.To manage content on marketing Intranet
6.Ensure use of appropriate systems to support the role including Purchase Control, Budget reporting and CRM tools
7.To work with Marcomm Manager in coordinating participation at local and pan-European events
8.To liaise with media buying agency in purchasing print and on-line advertising and to ensure advertising deadlines are met by creative agencies
9.To manage look and feel of our website to ensure consistency with brand guidelines
10.To analyse and map out content of all EMEA websites and liaise with MIS to keep content of EMEA websites up-to-date
11.To manage ad hoc marketing projects as they arise

THE CANDIDATE:

•Ideally educated to degree-level or equivalent in marketing or a related field.
•Experience in marketing communications.
•IT industry marketing experience is highly desirable.
•CIM qualified (Advanced Certificate or higher) or studying for a CIM would be desirable.
•Excellent command of English is essential for proofreading. A second European language would be an advantage.
•Experience of using Excel, Word, Lotus Notes and PowerPoint to an intermediate level.
•Experience of using a web page editing tool (e.g. Macromedia Contribute) would be desirable. Experience of graphic design packages e.g. Paintshop Pro, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe indesign or Adobe illustrator would be an advantage.
•Strong interpersonal, organisational and communications skills.
•Attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
•Research and analytical skills.
•Must be a team player and quick to learn new skills.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people.
•Confident, good eye for detail and a creative thinker.
•Ability to motivate others (internally and externally) in the implementation of the marketing strategy. Ideally have European experience and/or sensitivity to cultural differences.
