JOB SUMMARY:

You will report to the Director of Internal Audit in the Corporate Office in the United States. You will be responsible for performing financial, operational and compliance audits for a publicly traded multinational corporation. This is a great opportunity to develop your auditing and business skills.



PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position will be responsible for the following primary job functions:

Performing risk assessments.
Assisting with the development of audit plans, programs and procedures.
Conducting financial, operational, compliance audits in accordance with United States GAAS, GAAP, and Company policies and procedures to proactively identify opportunities where controls can be cost effectively enhanced.
Evaluating the adequacy, consistency, integrity, and reliability of financial and operating information and internal controls.
Preparing audit workpapers and written audit comments and recommendations for improvement.
Coordinating with and assisting the external auditors in order to facilitate the effective and efficient completion of the external audit.
Performing additional special projects at the request of Senior Management, the Audit Committee or the Director of Internal Audit.
Facilitating the continuous improvement of business processes and internal controls and the remediation of internal control deficiencies.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

Bachelor\'s degree required in Accounting, Finance or business related curriculum.
Part-qualified in accountancy

Experience:

1 year+ accounting or audit experience focusing on the financial, operational compliance areas

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Critical independent judgement skills and the ability to analyze complex processes.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a positive attitude and a proactive mentality.
Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, meet deadlines, strive to exceed expectations, and deliver results.
Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, and Visio. Experience with ERP and Oracle 11i accounting applications is a plus.
Experience with a multinational Company is a plus.
Fluency in German is a strong advantage

Travel:Expected travel, primarily to European locations, is approximately less than 30%. Travel requirements may increase marginally in future years.
