Job Description
Title: Japanese Speaking Compensation & Benefits Administrator - responsible for Expatriate payroll
Hours: Full time 35 hours/5 days per week
Salary; £25k- £30k + excellent benefits
Responsibilities:
- Process monthly expatriate payroll for the company and group comapny.
- Process medical claims for expatriate staff
- Process payroll & HR related expense payments
- Administer work permit application process for new expatriates
- Assist with induction process of new expatriates
- Assist expatriate staff with all payroll & benefit related enquiries
- Liaise with Head Office HR & London management on expatriate matters
- Liaise with external tax advisers regarding expatriate tax matters
- Report on expatriate movements/costs to London branch management & Head Office
- Open inward mail written in Japanese & co-ordinate redistribution as appropriate
- Provide support when required to the local Compensation & Benefits Administrator
Skills & Attributes
Essential
- Fluent Japanese & English language skills - able to speak, read & write with confidence in both languages
- Numeracy skills
- Analytical skills
- IT literate - intermediate Excel skills
Desirable
- Accounting or payroll qualification or part qualified preferable
- Payroll processing experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of UK and/or Japanese taxation
Skills and Experience:
- Work in a supportive, friendly, team environment
- Work with staff at all levels in the Bank
- Use both Japanese and English language skills
- Learn new skills with the support of colleagues
- Training will be provided on the payroll software
