The role will be to maximise cash collections and mitigate possible bad debt losses from upto 500 accounts split geographically. Working closely with the Customer Service and Sales functions to ensure the full communication of customer issues and that orders blocked for credit reasons are released at the earliest opportunity.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Ensure customers settle outstanding accounts to contract terms by telephone, letter and fax
Addressing customer queries directly and resolving them in a timely and efficient manner
Credit block accounts as required due to non payment or bad debt risk
Print and send monthly statements to customers
Send escalating reminder and final notice letters
Communicate with senior managers detailing account issues or impending debt collection / legal action
Refer accounts for debt collection, legal action and handle all related correspondence and queries
Opening new accounts, credit checking and reviewing credit limits and approving where necessary
Raising credit notes
Participating to the improvement of existing credit procedures, credit terms policy and scoring
Ad hoc duties within the wider finance function

Who we're looking for

My client is looking for someone with fluent French along with Credit Control experience. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. You must also have good conflict management and negotiation skills along with good time management and organisational skills. You must also be an excellent team player.
