A Newly opened Japanese restaurant in Harrogate is looking for a Head chef. If you have Sushi or Teppan Yaki experience, please send us your CV!!

The Head Chef is fully responsible and accountable for the day to day running of the kitchens in their entirety.

- Menu planning based on company guidelines regarding environmental, social and health welfare
- Maintaining standards on food quality and variety
- Delivery of gross profit margin on food goods on a weekly basis
- Delivery of wages to sales ratios for chefs
- Delegating and monitoring tasks and responsibilities on shift
- Cleanliness & maintenance of the kitchens
- Maintenance and general handling of kitchen equipment
- Build relationships with suppliers to ensure quality produce is delivered daily
- Source new products that comply with company policy on environmental, social and health welfare
- Commitment to the brand and drive to maximize financial opportunities
- Ensuring that your teams are fully committed to the growth and profitability of the business
- Monitoring and assessment of chef performance
- Developing and building the kitchen teams on a continual basis
- To ensure that company policy with regard to staff welfare and discipline is maintained
- Managing weekly rotas and holidays
- To ensure company standards with regard to chef uniform and appearance are uphel
- Regular discussion with the executive head chef and general manager
- Attending Chefs Table meetings with the executive head chefs bi-monthly
- Attendance at the Key Personnel Bonus meetings once a quarter
- Stock control, inventory, ordering and suppliers
