Corinium Language Associates is a company that provides language services to other businesses, specialising in multilingual recruitment. We work with clients from a wide range of industries located throughout the country.
Our client, an international manufacturing company, has its European production plant and European Customer Support centre in Worcester. The company's customers include diverse industries such as marine, automotive, industrial machinery, medical equipment, telecommunications and computers. They are currently recruiting a Project Buyer with fluency in Polish and English.

This role will be permenantly based in Worcester and there may be some travel to Eastern Europe involved.

This challenging role is to lead project purchasing activity in support of new business opportunities for computing and electronics, distributors and other diverse markets, with reliable 'budget' and 'firm' cost and delivery proposals from established, approved supply chain sources. Where sources are undefined, the role is to work with the Supply Chain Development engineer and the Supplier Development Engineer to provide one. Then taking proposals through initial production to full production, ensuring suppliers perform as promised and meeting business/customer need. There will be a particular focus on finding sources in the Central Eastern Europe region.

You will have a degree, or equivalent, preferably in purchasing or engineering. You will have fluent English and Polish. You will have experience in a manufacturing support role, and in a fast moving purchasing environment. You will be able to read engineering drawings, be familiar with engineering tolerances, materials and specifications. You will be an excellent and persuasive communicator, and computer literate with experience in Excel spreadsheets and Access databases.
