Survey Statistician, Social Research
£40k - £60k, dependent on experience, plus benefits and bonus

Location: West London

One of Britain\'s leading market and social research agencies conducting high profile survey research for government clients in fields such as crime, education, employment, health, personal finance, transport and the environment are looking to appoint an experienced statistician. Based in the advanced methods and statistics team, you will work closely with our team of 50 quantitative social researchers. The role will involve:

•Analysing survey datasets using a range of multivariate and modelling techniques
•Contributing to research proposals and new business pitches
•Helping researchers develop their analytical skills and knowledge
•Developing the range of scope of analytical techniques we offer clients
•Working with our client\'s cross-divisional Research Sciences team on company-wide initiatives

Ideal Candidate:
•A first or postgraduate degree in statistics, maths or another subject involving a considerable amount of quantitative data analysis
•A strong track record of applying statistical and advanced analytical techniques in a research environment
•Advanced knowledge of SPSS
•The ability to communicate statistical concepts in layperson\'s terms to research colleagues and clients
•The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•The ability to work well under pressure and to respond to deadlines

Salary and benefits
•Base salary in the range £40,000 to £60,000, depending on experience
•Annual performance-related bonus
