Job Description
SENIOR LAND SURVEYOR
Qualifications and Experience
Preferably educated to Degree Level in surveying or another relevant discipline.
Minimum of 2 years as a field Surveyor or 4 years for a non-graduate.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage up to 2 survey teams on any one project.
Manage multiple small sized projects.
Review and agree estimates of the resources for manpower, source materials, equipment and materials needed for projects.
Agree project work instructions and brief field staff.
Monitor the production rates and quality of the products of the relevant staff.
Liase with Customers to determine opportunities for new business
Review Industry related Journals to keep abreast of emerging technologies.
Provide support to Senior Management in developing on-going relationships with Customer base.
Report to the Project Land Surveyor on all relevant issues.
Continually strive for improvement in processes, procedures and the working environment for the good of staff and Company.
Equipment familiarity - Hardware and Software
General Knowledge of all systems relevant to the Production Sections.
Experienced in the use of GPS and Total Stations, knowledge of Leica instruments an advantage.
n4ce and AutoCAD software knowledge required for all survey production
Microsoft Office to enable successful preparation of reports and documentation commensurate with the post.
