Main Purpose

The Accountant UK supports the Financial Accounting Manager by having overall responsibility for the Accounting functions of Inditex UK.

Responsibilities

The Accountant UK will supervise, train & develop of a team of 2 Accountants / Administrators.
His/her main responsibility is to ensure an accurate & timely monthly Financial Reporting of the 5 UK Inditex Companies to Group Consolidation Department, which encompasses:
1. Monthly Financial Closings:
o The Accountant UK will prepare himself/herself the closing of ZARA UK (represents 70% of Inditex business in the UK), including calculation of depreciation, stock valuation, accruals and complete P&L review
o He/she will be supervising / controlling the completeness of the other UK companies closings performed by his/her team
2.Treasury (preparation of cash flows)
3. Taxation (VAT & CIS returns)
4. Invoices approval: rent, service charge, business rates.

Requirements
University education - ACCA Qualification
At least 2 years' experience in similar position
Very good knowledge of spoken English andSpanish
Availability to work on a full time basis
Minimum 1 – 2 years experience in a similar position, ideally within the retail sector
Solid accounting knowledge expected
Strong organizational skills, ability to work with tight deadlines & flexibility are key
Fluent in English, Spanish valued
An outgoing and friendly personality is required.
