Telephone Unit Manager
Salary: £25k - £30k
Location: NW London
The role is to be responsible for the Telephone Unit and to achieve efficient and high quality telephone data collection within this business. You will be working in a friendly & relaxed environment.
The role involves the management of a team of supervisors and interviewers & processing of CATI and non-CATI telephone fieldwork accurately, to budget and on schedule. Preparation and scripting of questionnaires and the management of sample will also be within your remit.
The candidate will need to be numerate, organized, a good communicator and have proven people management skills (having previously worked as a manager or supervisor). Experience within the Market Research industry is preferred. Although not a frequent requirement the Telephone Unit Manager may have to work out of normal office hours from time to time.
Ideal Person:
• Ideally has worked as a Telephone Unit Supervisor/Manager
• Must have understanding of panels research
• Data Processing background welcome but you must want to move to management
• Management experience desirable
• Must have understanding of data / some DP experience (i.e. understanding of programming CATI questionnaires is essential)
• Understanding of basic script writing is necessary
• Experience of reporting (i.e. assessment how job has been performed etc)
• Good organisation skills are essential
Main Responsibilities:
• Strategic management of Telephone Unit Staff (day-to-day management is handled by Senior Supervisors)
• Responsible for weekly payroll system for temporary interviewers
• Processing raw data & quality control hence basic understanding of scripting & data is necessary
• Production of all questionnaires used within the unit
• Provision of standard production reports (info on throughput, scheduling & quality)
• Involved in costing for the projects
• Assists the Operations Director in evaluating new software systems for data collection.
• Works with the Client Service to team to understand the needs of clients and provide the research data in the format they require.
