Job Description
Do you have what it takes to work in a challenging and busy environment, dealing with international enquiries and helping people hoping to fulfil their academic and occupational ambitions? If so, we would like to hear from you.
Ideally you would be educated to degree level but other qualifications will be considered. You must have strong language skills besides English in at least one of the following other languages: Portuguese and Russian. Experience as a teacher or trainer would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Principally, as a member of the UK NARIC Core Services Group:
• assisting with the international qualifications recognition process
• developing knowledge of overseas education and the UK education system
• maintaining a professional telephone enquiry service; and
• assisting with the delivery of training
Job Role
As an Information Officer your main role will be the processing of enquiries from individual applicants and answering questions on the phone and in writing. You will also be expected to assist in training provision and a range of other administrative tasks.

Essential - A UK degree
Desirable - Other professional qualifications
Skills, attributes and experiences
Speak, read and write fluently in Portuguese or Russian, as well as English
Desirable - Other foreign language competence
Essential - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Desirable - A thorough understanding of UK and international education systems
Essential - Attention to detail and ability to organise work efficiently
Desirable - Experience in a customer service role
IT literate, particularly with regard to Word, Excel and data input to information databases
Experience of working to deadlines and to a high quality
Motivated, enthusiastic and a flexible approach
Hours of Work: 8.30 – 17.00 or 9.00 – 17.30
