A cover supervisor is a role created for a non teaching member of staff; the cover supervisor is required to look after a whole class.

If you feel that you could supervise work in accordance with school policy, manage the behaviour of students who are undertaking the work set, respond to students, create and maintain a safe environment for all students, collect work that has been set and feedback on behaviour and any issues that arise during the lessons, then this is the job for you!

You must be educated to at least degree honours level and have at least 6 months experience of working within a UK secondary school or educational setting. Alternatively you may be an oversea’s trained teacher that hasn't obtained QTS within the specified time period (4 years), or further education trained. This also may suit someone who is pursuing a career in teaching to gain an insight into teaching in secondary schools.

You will be asked to provide two professional references and have an enhanced CRB check carried out (if you do not already hold one) before deployment in the school.
