JOB PURPOSE
The business in Northern Europe (comprising UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland) has an opportunity to grow rapidly. In the UK this is due to our therapy receiving a funding via the Specialised Commissioning route within the NHS and the scientific/medical research activities of the UK/Scandinavian Experts Photopheresis Group. Along with our new instrument CELLEX, we now have the ability to maximise on this potential.
This non commercial, customer facing role is focused on maintaining current scientific relationships as well as uncovering and developing new opportunities. As a member of the Therakos franchise, we are part of a global team who work together on uncovering unmet customer needs and devising strategies for the business to meet then.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• To communicate scientific and medical information to physicians about company treatment
• Provide verbal and written responses to requests for medical information related to company treatment
• Provide technical support and educational training
• Build advocacy for company treatment in Northern Europe
• Provide medical content and support to company for local Regulatory and Reimbursement activities
• Implement global/European strategies on a local level
• Manage existing customer relationships with the Photopheresis, Dermatology and Haematology markets
• Expand the existing business by creating new relationships with key Opinion leaders, especially in the field of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cardiothoracic consultants
• Implement referral guidelines throughout region
• Feedback and deliver on new opportunities that can increase patient access to therapy
• Feedback any changes/developments within scientific/medical fields
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
• Scientifically and clinically oriented
• Independent and assertive, with a passion for learning and teaching; with a strong team orientation
• Experience or interest in immunology, oncology, gastroenterology or dermatology beneficial
• Education: Medical degree in Oncology/Dermatology/Apheresis or Ph.D. in Immunology or equivalent
• Fluent in English, fluency in Swedish and additional Nordic language advantageous
• Ideally situated in the UK or Nordic region
