Job Description
Main Tasks :
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support (quality & engineering) to the local Logistics team and their activities to ensure the DC operates efficiently and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for all Technical (Quality & Engineering) related activities associated with the efficient
operation of a Distribution Centre and/or remote manufacturing operation.
• Perform Product inspections to verify incoming and outgoing products to facilitate improvements in
shipping and receiving process.
• Ensure that inventory meets shelf life requirements, ensuring a timely, cost effective battery charging process.
• Monitor all damages & facilitate timely material disposition.
• Drive root cause analysis of fallout from material handling at DC and intransit.
• Monitor and facilitate timely execution of relevant ship-holds from containment through the rework
process.
Capture cost associated with individual RIN activities. Insure that activities are in sync with WH
systems.
• Generate reports on End Customer issues due to logistical errors and product handling issues.
• Ensure that issues are been addressed by the correct owners.
• Data capture and disposition of CMAs (Customer Returns) on a weekly basis.
• Audit the process of the facilities in The Netherlands,
• Ensure a safe working environment exists with continuous focus on ergonomic workstations,
accident reduction with an awareness of safety legislation.
• Manage projects or provide support as they occur, to ensure satisfactory completion. Provide
leadership and process training to external resources.
• Ensure process documentation clearly reflects the optimum controlled (safe) engineering criteria.
• Co-coordinating and/or participating in problem solving teams.
• May require temporary work in other local Warehouses
ROI analysis on specific investments.
• Project Management.
• Problem Solving through 7-Step and subsequent implementation of effective corrective action
Requirements :
Experience & Qualifications Required:
• 5 - 7 Years experience in a Warehousing environment & Light Mfg environment.
• Applicant will be a high performer within current role and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Educated to Associate Degree level.
• Fluency in English, Dutch or French language is an advantage.
• Quality trainings (Six Sigma)
• Excellent Computer Skills - Computer proficiency Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Lotus Notes, Oracle.
Skills:
• Strongly Quality focused (Six Sigma Black Belt).
• Exceptional customer service skills including verbal communications and decision making.
• Taking Ownership and driving the quality issues to an end is a key skill set for this role
• No issues to work outside office hours when required.
• Ability to operate independently with Local Team.
• Ability to drive quality improvements while at same time reducing the running costs at the DC
