Job Description
Our client is one of Japan’s leading graphic writing manufacturers and distributors. Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and training to their European clients. This Technical Support Engineer will be based out of their European Office in the Amsterdam region.
Job Profile
The Technical Support Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Providing technical support to distributors throughout Europe by telephone and email.
• Visiting distributors to provide onsite support/training.
• Making new technical documentation in co-operation with the head office in Japan.
• Participating in bi-annual technical seminars for distributors.
• Arranging the shipment of spare parts to distributors.
• Inventory control for spare parts.
• Daily communication with Japan regarding technical service issues.
• Analysing quality control problems.
• Visiting the distributors to check the market situation.
Candidate Profile
• MUST BE Native Dutch with Fluent English (written and verbal). An additional European language would be advantageous.
• Must have HBO or similar level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• MUST have at least five years experience providing hands-on technical support for printers or similar products.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.).
• Must be willing to travel to client sites around Europe.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible attitude and ability to multi-task.
