Global Leader in Online Content Delivery and Business Process requires a Solutions Engineer for a permanent position based in Paris.

Profile:
Solutions Engineers are experienced sales engineering professionals, adept at defining solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of existing and prospective customers. You will need 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, be self directed, capable of leading technical sales activities, managing the customer technical relationship, and assume the role of subject matter expert responsibilities within the Company.

Responsibilities:
• Drive revenues by managing the pre-sales technical process and evangelising the Companies technology to existing and prospective customers, and to drive new product and service offerings.
• Work closely with direct sales to educate existing and prospective customers about the superiority of the Companies services - this includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, proposals, and follow up on all customer related issues.
• Work closely with Product Management and R&D to develop future product direction and strategy - providing valuable input from "the field."
• Oversee the customer proposal process and ensure that all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are properly defined.
• Support and educate Sales, Marketing and other internal departments to ensure that customers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions.
• Show high standards of leadership - actively developing and mentoring less experienced staff within the Solutions Engineering and Sales organisations.

Desired Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Experience: 5+ years overall, 3+ years customer facing
• 3 years of experience in a “customer facing” environment such as sales or technical consulting
• Detailed knowledge of Internet technologies, desired understanding of the online Digital Media industry, video streaming, Flash programming, online advertising, and website development
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management clients
• Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships
• Large account experience (Fortune 500 ideal)
• A proven track record demonstrating good business judgement, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence
• Technical programming background - J2EE, .NET, Web Services experience a plus
• Must be willing to travel to approximately 30%
• Fluent French and English must
