The Role

Bloomberg News is¿seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to work in fast-paced real-time news environment.
The ideal candidate will have fluency in Japanese and English and a background in macroeconomics. Knowledge of Excel and macros is required and familiarity with databases and economic indicators a plus.

The position will require the candidate to conduct surveys of economists and analysts as well as create table content of economic indicators in Japanese.
Candidate will develop contacts with various government statistical agencies aimed at expanding breadth and depth of coverage.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Background in economics, mathematics, or finance
-Fluency in Japanese and English
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel
