A vacancy has arisen to join a leading sports Internet betting company as a Swedish Internet Editor. Working as part of their multi-lingual team based at Rayners Lane (NW London on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Tube Lines) you will play a key role in ensuring the Swedish website is consistently and effectively promoting the products and services to the target markets.
The main activities of the position will include the following areas:
- Producing a calendar of sporting events to be used in planning the betting highlights for the website, interractive TV and WAP channels.
- Prioritising sporting events in order of importance and writing copy to promote those events ensuring all content is current and accurate.
- Ensuring the website is kept up to date in terms of promoting new betting opportunities within the Swedish sports market.
- Reviewing other competitors websites and ensuring the site is responsive to the current needs and requirements of your customers.
- Dealing with customer enquiries both verbally over the phone and via e-mail received from Swedish customers.
Applicants must be fluent in English and Swedish both verbally and in writing and thorough testing will be undertaken at interview stage to ensure fluency. In addition, a keen interest in sports, particularly of European football, would be a distinct advantage.
The individual should demonstrate good interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships to be established. Finally, the successful candidate will be required to work as part of a roster pattern, therefore a flexible approach is necessary.
Starting salary is £16,500 plus company bonus and benefits on offer include a subsidised restaurant, in house gym, discretionary annual bonus scheme, share save and pension scheme after a qualifying period and 20 days paid holiday rising to 25. The company also offers a casual dress policy when not working weekday daytime hours.
