Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
• To understand and contribute to the disease area portfolio strategy and identify, assess and prioritize new and emerging internal and external growth opportunities
• To provide BD&L with commercial analysis and recommendations with regard to licensing opportunities
• To stay abreast of emerging market trends and new technology platforms and collaborate with Research, Development and BD&L to create a market-driven competitive strategy
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Stay abreast of cutting edge external developments, new growth opportunities and technology platforms with a medium and long term view
• Interface with CPO\'s to assemble this information, perform own analyses as needed, and collaborate closely with key market research functions to capture relevant market insights and business intelligence data
• Synthesize such information to make business cases and provide specific recommendations for resource allocation
• Provide commercial input, including commercial business case, commercialization requirements, and forecasts as needed to BD&L to assist in the evaluation and assess the strategic fit
• Collaborate with Research, Development and BD&L to achieve alignment behind new growth strategies and prepare the organization to be in an optimal position to realize and capitalize on new internal and external business opportunities
• Support early commercial development of new products. This includes creating and refining a therapeutic product profile (TPP) with a clearly defined differential competitive advantage and preparing C4Align@DDP.
• Coordinate the communication of all early phase commercial development information across Research, GPTs, Global Marketing, and CPO organisations (where appropriate).
• Contribute to disease area strategy development of different TAs, with particular emphasis on new and emerging growth opportunities
• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of processes to improve evaluation of new and emerging opportunities and create overarching growth strategies
• Support other global strategic marketing initiatives as required
