A leading Shared Service Centre within Teesside, supporting a market-leading global corporation, is currently seeking to recruit a Spanish-speaking Assistant Country Accountant to join their Country Accounting team. In addition to English a second European language is required, ideally French or Italian.

Key Accountabilities

- To deliver defined, high quality financial services, to agreed performance and cost targets, on behalf of all relevant businesses & sites.
- This covers two key areas: Financial accounting and compliance & Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Apply local compliance requirements in the fiscal jurisdiction of their allocated legal entity / entities (Europe & South Africa) to meet the regulatory standards.
- Support the external audit activity for their allocated legal entity / entities.
- Ensure that all tax & vat returns are completed accurately & comply with the relevant legal jurisdictions.
