In-house French Translator

A Leeds-based role which will involve working within an in-house team currently covering the major Western European languages.

We are looking for a candidate to translate from English into French. The candidate must be French mother tongue.

We will consider any specialisms within this language combination, but would favour a candidate with Marketing, Financial, Technical or Software-related specialisms.

In this role you will liaise with the Project Managers to schedule in your work effectively and meet client requests.

Requirements:

• Educated to at least degree level. If degree is not in translation must have similar qualifications linked to specialised subject
• At least 2 years professional experience in the translation industry
• Ability to research in-depth in a variety of subjects
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Familiarity with translation memory tools
• Can translate a minimum of 10,000 words per week
• To provide a proven track record of previous experience in the field of translation
• Can provide the names of two referees familiar with your translation work.
