Job description
Providing programming support to the company’s Europe branch, you will have the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly within a time-critical environment. You will be responsible for the ownership of fixes and lead the analysis, design and implementation of these software fixes. You will participate in conference calls and meetings to clarify issues and communicate resolutions. Your role will also include assisting in the line management, motivation and mentoring of junior team members.

With MVS COBOL Mainframe experience, ideally in the Bankcard industry, you must have strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge of standard PC based applications. You should have knowledge of DBMS\'s and experience of IMS or DB2 would be a distinct advantage. An excellent working knowledge of JCL - preferably obtained in an MVS Mainframe environment - is also required.

Education & Experience

Essential

- Demonstrate MVS COBOL Mainframe experience, ideally in the Bankcard industry.
- Demonstrate experience in at least four of the following: CICS, DB2, IMS,SQL, TSO.
- Demonstrate current experience of TS2 or other account processing systems.
- Demonstrate previous production support experience.

Desirable

- Degree or HND in a computer related discipline, or relevant experience.

- Excellent working knowledge of JCL - preferably obtained through use in an MVS Mainframe environment.
