Job Title: Head of Corporate Banking
Skills: Extensive corporate banking experience. Ideally Arabic language skills.
Salary: Salary 80K plus banking benefits
Location: Central London


Primary objective of the job:

Leading the corporate banking division of the bank to ensure achievement of the targeted results without compromising the credit quality of the portfolio.

The Role:

- Develop an overall strategy for the corporate banking segment of the bank in line with the policies of the bank and in consultation with the senior management of the bank.
- Develop and implement the business plan based on the above strategy and marketing plan to achieve the asset and profitability targets. Actively involve manage the budgeting process/MIS with regard to the above targets.
- Leading a team of relationship/credit managers in identifying the targeted prospects/deals and convert them in to new relationships/business in line with the above plan and in provision of high quality service to the existing corporate relationships and growing them in line with the above business plan.
- Maintenance of superior credit quality of the portfolio by proactive management of the risk of the portfolio and managing the credit approval process of the accounts under portfolio by active involvement in credit analysis, submission of credit proposals and liaison with line management. Member of local credit committee.
- Cross selling of other branch services/products.
- Assimilation of market intelligence and appropriate reporting to the senior management along with recommendations for proactive response to opportunities/threats.
- Active involvement in product development by providing support to product specialists to ensure that the bank’s product match/surpass the competition.
- Managing the administrative aspects and regulatory issue pertaining to the above area
- Effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve all the above objectives.
- Closely work with group management in general and regional offices in particular in achievement of overall organizational objectives.

Subordinates directly supervised:

Sr Manager Trade Finance, Sr Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking A/Manager.

Minimum job requirements:

Qualifications:-
- Extensive experience in a senior role in corporate banking.
- Familiarity with Middle East market is desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in any financial discipline is an advantage, but not essential.

- Sound credit analytical/judgment skills.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Product knowledge
