Purpose of the position:
To play the leading role of PR affairs for Diskeeper Corporation Europe.
This includes PR activities of our products and in support of marketing. The
PR Manager prepares and relays information concerning the company’s products with press, business and other media where appropriate.
Development and Expansion of Diskeeper Corporations presence throughout Europe and delivery of effective PR.

Main duties and responsibilities:
The PR Manager works as a member of the Diskeeper Corporation Public Relations Team. Specifically, the PR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing media strategies and generating coverage of our products in relation to launches and Diskeeper Corporation campaigns and programme work including educating the IT industry for the need of Daily Automatic Defragmentation.

Specific Brief Responsibilities
• Writing and issuing press releases, features, opinion pieces, letters to editors and other written materials.
• Organising press conferences and briefings.
• Working with Diskeeper Corporations Opinion Leaders to generate media coverage.
• Dealing with daily media enquiries, travelling nationally and internationally as required.

Personal Requirements (not mandatory)
• Experience in working with internal and external contacts to develop media strategies, and securing effective media coverage.
• Experience of writing news, feature and opinion media materials to tight deadlines.
• Experience of developing productive working relationships with national and international media or other contacts.
• An interest or knowledge in IT technical matters would be beneficial.
• Ability to work both without supervision and as a member of a team, and to develop effective working relationships within Diskeeper Corporation.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally along with a full UK Drivers Licence.

Salary:

• 19 - 22 K per annum negotiable plus 20 days paid holiday per annum.
