Job Description
Established in 1964, the African Development Bank is the premier pan-African development institution fostering economic growth and social progress in Africa. The Bank's primary goal is to reduce poverty and improve living standards by mobilizing resources in and outside Africa and providing financial and technical assistance for development projects and programs in Africa. The ADB has a total of 78 member states comprising 53 regional (African) and 25 non-regional countries.
The ADB currently has the following vacancy:
Principal Interpreter, English/French (ADB/08/111)
Provide interpretation services (simultaneous and consecutive) in the active language, delivering accurate and relevant meaning to expressions, terminology, accent, speed of delivery amongst others. Cover high-visibility events of the Bank such as meetings of the Boards of Governors, Boards of Directors, Administrative Tribunal, interviews, seminars, training sessions and meetings with other international organizations. Lead and coordinate interpretation teams and/or teams dispatched on missions outside the Bank.
