Job Description

Swedish or Norwegian Business Development Manager
Location: city
Start: ASAP
Salary £35K + £35K OTE + excellent benefits
Our client is a market leader in the IT industry with offices all around the world. Due to rapid expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Swedish or Norwegian Business Development Manager to join their international sales force.
You will be generating new business opportunities in specific and vertical or geographic market segments. This will involve interfacing both directly with customers and whenever possible, working through & with channel partners.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•Identifying, researching and targeting prospective business using all available means.
•Create and maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities within the designated market segments
•Development & Maintenance of a business plan for the designated market segments
•Actively builds & maintains own pipeline and contributes to partner reporting on a regular and when requested basis.
•Identify, recruit and develop Partners
•Build executive level relationships with prospects and Partners to understand their business needs in relation to the use of internet technologies.
•Work with the Marketing, Operations, Sales Operations and Client Services Departments to develop ongoing business opportunities.
•Develop a comprehensive understanding of business trends, needs and requirements of the relevant vertical market and provide regular feedback to the company, especially in terms of new product requirements.
•Work with the Regional Business Development Directors to maximise vertical expertise & knowledge sharing between the teams
•Develop and manage referrals in order to generate leads
•Adhere fully with the sales rules of engagement for transitioning customers from business development to account management and work closely with channel partners
•Work closely with the Client Services Managers to ensure the customer is being managed within their expectations and that any opportunities are handled appropriately
•Liaise with other internal departments as required (e.g. Client Services, Operations, Legal and Marketing) to ensure smooth running of all interactions with prospects
•Provide accurate forecasts and reports on activity and sales performance as and when required by management
•Ensure all monthly KPI targets are met
•Work with Channel Group and Marketing to generate Associate Partners and business development opportunities through campaigns and programmes for recruitment of Associate Partners.
•Maintain accurate and up to date customer information within business systems (Siebel)
•Ensure full compliance with all internal processes including sales order quoting systems (SOP)

Essential

•Proven sales track record in Nordics IT/Telecoms environment selling to Enterprise clients
•Proven track record of revenue generation and achievement of targets
•Solid understanding of the IT industry and it\'s business applications
•Experience of working with complex sales in a consultative manner
•Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, in written, verbal and presentation form
•Can do, flexible and mature attitude to the role with plenty of common sense and an outgoing personality
•Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline
•Must not only understand strategy, sales, and partnering; but also possess the requisite technical depth to be comfortable with an IT based service
•Must have extensive experience of both Channel and Direct Sales with management level responsibilities and accountabilities.
•An established network of local partner relationships would be an asset
•Should be independent and entrepreneurial with the determination and energy to pioneer new markets
•Strong negotiation skills
•Driving licence
•Experience of working with a CRM system
