Clients "connect" with research and training both offline (through on-site meetings, forums and classroom events) and online at their website.
Clients use their online data and analysis to build up-to-date account and market plans, educate new associates cost-effectively, and plan for upcoming top-to-top meetings. They are headquartered in the USA. The office in London was opened in 2003.

Position Focus
The Research Associate (RA) - Europe is responsible for conducting research, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and creating quantitative models regarding retailers operating in Europe. Additionally, the RA will be asked to write a series of daily articles and update content on the websites. The RA must combine basic quantitative modeling skills with daily research and interpretation of facts.

Analysis
Analysis is mostly quantitative. The Research Associate should be able to look at groups of data, draw conclusions and organize the information into a final presentation. Qualitatively, must be able to turn implications into themes.

• Constructs analysis and models for …’s databases
• Construct analysis for …’s websites
• Writes retailer-specific “special flashes” that inform clients of critical matters

Communication
Shows ability to present knowledge to both clients and internal constituencies.

• Engages in “unstructured dialogue” with colleagues and clients
• Writes articles and opinion papers for company magazines and websites.

Client Management
Demonstrates a willingness to understand the client community (manufacturers/suppliers) – and what is useful and meaningful to our clients. Responds to client inquiries.

Understands the importance of “deadline management” – both in the achievement of deadlines, and recognizing the importance of repriotising when necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-2 years relevant experience (Financial/quantitative analysis)
• Highly numerate (data intensive)
• Excellent verbal and written English skills (essential for report writing)
• Strong organization skills and good presentation skills
• Demonstrable team player, comfortable is a small organization
• Flexible
• Good IT skills (must have intermediate/advanced excel skills and be able to navigate the internet)
