BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ADVERTISING fluent in business French
Based in East Grinstead
£30k basic + £20k OTE + generous benefits
Reed Business Information is part of Reed Elsevier, a FTSE 100 company. We are a powerful player in B2B publishing, with a portfolio covering over 18 markets in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.
The Bankers Almanac portfolio of products and services will account for over £15m revenue in 2008, over £10m of which will be through subscription sales to our electronic products, notably BANKERSalmanac.com, which will see over £1m growth for the 7th year running.
We are looking for a self motivated, target driven individual to join the Advertising Sales team. Reporting to the Advertising Sales Manager, this demanding position involves a consultative sales approach to selling innovative advertising solutions to banks, software companies, conference companies etc who currently do not advertise on Bankersalmanac.com.
Based from our offices in East Grinstead, this role will involve travel in the UK and overseas on a regular basis, including attendance at international industry conferences.
Key responsibilities
To develop new business by selling different advertising opportunities for the aligned products, either face to face or on the phone
To identify and contact a high percentage of potential customers through cold calling
To identify and plan international business trips to meet potential new customers
To conduct presentations to an international client base
To identify and implement new web advertising opportunities
To keep abreast of market changes to enhance understanding
Skills and experience:
Proven telesales experience is essential
Fluency in French is essential
Extremely well organised and able to manage own time
Self-motivation and drive to achieve targets
Great negotiation and communication skills
Good level of IT literacy
Excellent presentation skills
A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable
