The P2P Solution Center Helpdesk team is part of the P2P Solution Center, an integral component of the R2P department. The Solution Center Senior Specialist will deliver excellent technical and non-technical support for P2P related processes and system solutions. The position requires a creative, diligent, hard-working individual with experience in working in a customer service environment and knowledge of P2P processes and solutions to drive outstanding customer service and operational efficiency. The Senior Specialist will assist the Team Lead and Manager in developing team members and providing their process expertize in resolving escalated issues and complaints
*Provide service at expected levels with a clear customer service approach.
*Interacts proactively with all functional areas of the NGSC and business unit colleagues to ensure appropriate accounting, reporting and compliance are in line to expectation.
*Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities ensuring deliverables meet end user and stakeholder expectations.
*Manage incoming requests via email and telephone.
*Supports deliverables associated with other P2P and Procurement processes
*Provide timely follow-up to both internal and external queries.
*Support P2P sub-process by providing required details to sub-process teams enabling them to properly investigate and resolve assigned cases.
*Support knowledge base of P2P team by participating/providing trainings and sharing of best practices within the team.
*Support internal stakeholders community (BPA's, PO owners, Cost Center owners and entity management) with timely resolution of escalated queries.
*Adherence to month end closing activities
*Support in the upkeep of process documentation, policies and procedures which comply to the Novartis Procurement and Finance Core standards
*Ensure compliance standards are in place and adhered in accordance to Novartis Finance Core, Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements
*Support towards a strong control environment with action of open audit issues and implementation of corrective actions
*Actively support Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC) working style and approach by being inclusive, proactive, respectful and in alignment with Novartis Values and Behaviors
*Enable a collaborative environment whereas focus is placed toward contribution of process improvements and standardization through partnering
*Champion in service mindset enabling a highly collaborative environment towards internal and external stakeholders
*Participate in development of team members regarding Novartis O2P process standards
*Role model to team members regarding approach to customer service and handling customer queries
*Acting as backup to Team Lead

The ideal candidate will have:
*University degree (college courses in accounting preferred)
*English (written and spoken)
*German (written and spoken)
*Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position in a SSC environment *Knowledge of Service Desk processes and system solutions (e.g. call management solutions, ticketing tools, remote support tools) R2P / P2P processes and system solutions Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
*Customer service orientation, professional attitude and reliable
